When to replace instead of repair
Separated seams and a loose hanger are repairs. Yes. Seams are where sectional gutters leak and sag, and seamless runs eliminate nearly all of them. Since they're formed on-site to your house, they also fit better than anything off a shelf.
5 inch handles most ranches fine. Big roofs, steep pitches, and long runs feeding one downspout want 6 inch. We size it to your roof's actual drainage area rather than guessing.
Good ones dramatically cut cleaning, especially under maples and oaks, though no guard is truly "never touch it again." We'll tell you honestly whether your tree situation justifies them.
